It may be possible to receive full or partial government funding for these programmes if your employees satisfy specifc funding body criteria. Types of courses and level:
- NVQs and Apprenticeships at level 2 and 3
- Skills for Life – literacy and numeracy courses to support those working toward NVQ 2
Typical length of courses - indicative delivery timescales range from:
- 6-10 months for NVQ programmes at level 2
- 9-12 months for NVQ programmes at level 3
- 9-12 months for Apprenticeship programmes (level 2)
- 12-16 months for Advanced Apprenticehip programmes (level 3)
- Skills for Life delivery typically runs along with/embedded within a vocational programme
How are courses normally delivered?
- Delivered in the work place to fit in around working patterns (ITQ delivered flexibly and by distance learning)
Briefly describe the process:
- Initial visit to discuss learner needs and complete initial evaluation
- Sign up and induction
- Individual learning plan created
- Monthly visits (minimum)
- Key Skills assessment/testing (Apprenticeship programmes only)
- On-going assessment
- End of programme review
